Rise of Empires

Io’phinthal

The dragonborn after escaping the tyranny of their draconic lords forged the empire of Io’phinthal in the lush green lands of the west, ruled over by the warlords that lead the rebillion. Arkhosia banned the worship of Tiamat, but it thrived as a secret cult.
The Dragonborn having learnt the Arcane secrets from their draconic masters established the Floating Citadel of Zarnashia.

Pharloo

The Minotaur after Baphomets decent into the Abyss began worshipping Melora. Under the guidance of her priests the Minotaurs established a kingdom within boundaries of the grasslands in the North. Pharloo grew rapidly with the first shamanic school established in its centre.

Haque

Haque was founded by humans after the collapse of Kahrim at the hands of Vecna. When the empire expanded beyond the grasp of its power-hungry nobles, they swore to retain their rule even at the cost of their humanity. After destroying a few houses that refused, the nobles summoned devils and used rituals to seal their infernal pacts, becoming the first Tieflings. Varania Modevitch and Harran Kahnebor were the first to volunteer to engage in the pact with devils. Boosted by the new-found powers, the Empire continued to expand.
The primary devil with whom Haque entered into infernal pacts was Asmodeus himself, founding the Black Academy to study the dark blessings the Archdevil bestowed.

The Tieflings of Haque created the kruthiks by infusing reptiles with fiendish blood.

Imperial Wars

Haque, Pharloo and Io’phinthal came into contact, descending into “decades of warfare”. Border skirmishes grew with each year. Several full-scale wars broke out, including the War of Horns.

The final War of Ruin broke out. A ten-year siege ended when the Tiefling general Azrial tunneled into an Io’phinthalian fortress of Ghazial only to find the Minotaurs had already built a tunnel aiming to destroy both sides when they were worn out and weakened by their skirmish. All sides suffered heavy losses, and the Battle of Ghazial marked the beginning of the end for the three empires.

The Io’phinthalian city of Avanzor fell when it became corrupted by cultists of Tiamat, who opened to city gates to invaders, thinking that the invaders would slay the remaining worshipers of Bahamut and then they would slay the slavers. The Raiders instead enslaved them all, sacked the city and abandoned it.

When Tiefling magic brought down the floating citadel of Zarnashia, many saw it as an omen of the Dragonborn Empire’s ultimate demise.

The descent of Pharloo was due to the return of Baphomet, seeing as his creation had abandoned worshiping him he placed a veil of madness upon them causing them to dive aggressively into war with the other two kingdoms as well as among themselves. With the civil war the kingdom broke into several wandering tribes.
